Who We Are at Kidipractice

At Kidipractice, we believe that true care goes beyond diagnosis—it’s about empowering families to understand health. Founded in 2017 by Prof. Nicolette du Plessis, our practice combines world-class academic expertise with a warm, family-friendly approach.

We see knowledge as the building blocks of health, and understanding as the key to arranging those blocks into a confident, balanced journey of care. Together with our dedicated team and hospital colleagues, we ensure that every child and parent feels supported, informed, and cared for.

At KidiPractice, we aim to make your visit as smooth and informative as possible. Below are some important details you can expect during your appointment. This will help ensure we can make the most of our time together and provide the best care for you and your child.

  • You will be greeted by Lynda, Kidipractice’s friendly administrator. Please ensure that you are 5-10 minutes early and have ample time to find parking and make your way to our office.
  • First appointments can be lengthy and last an hour or more; so ensure that you have a snack or favorite toy to keep little ones busy.
  • Space is limited and too many distractions will limit our time together; best leave other children at home.
  • Bring Essential Documents & all previous laboratory results, photos, radiology reports along to the consultation. Remember your little one’s Road to Health Booklet if applicable.
  • We will have a comprehensive discussion about all relevant history, followed by a complete clinical examination and a comprehensive explanation of your or your child’s condition, as well as a clear stepwise management plan.
  • All future management plans such as hospital admissions, PMB forms, or scripts will be clearly communicated by Lynda via our Kidipractice email.
